MessyFile is operated by Blue Ocean Property, LLC ("MessyFile," "we," or "us"). By uploading a file, requesting a check, placing an order, or using a delivered result, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice.
MessyFile provides automated and human-reviewed document conversion and structured data-extraction services. The price, file limits, output, turnaround target, and review level displayed for the selected offer govern the order. A free readiness check is an initial technical assessment, not a promise that conversion will be error-free.
You may upload a file before payment so MessyFile can check basic compatibility and recommend an offer. An unpaid pre-check upload is kept for no more than 24 hours before it becomes eligible for removal during the next daily deletion cycle. If you pay, the same upload is associated with one order and continues into processing without a second upload. Browser retries, payment-provider retries, and webhook retries are handled as one order where the same order identifiers are available.
Free Simple Convert provides one automated output for one eligible clean digital file, subject to the displayed format, size, page, and usage limits. It does not include OCR, human review, manual cleanup, layout reconstruction, a Verification Report, or a guarantee that every value was interpreted correctly. MessyFile may reject files that are complex, unreadable, protected, unsafe, or outside the offer.
Quick Convert and Quick Convert Plus provide one automated output for one supported source file within the limits shown before payment. They include a private upload, processing status, preview, and download workspace. They do not include human review, manual cleanup, layout reconstruction, a Verification Report, or guaranteed accuracy. Inspect automated output before relying on it, especially for financial, legal, medical, or other consequential information.
Human-reviewed services cover the scope shown for the purchased tier or written quote. Review is limited to the agreed output and does not make MessyFile responsible for the underlying content. Difficult or out-of-scope work may require a revised quote and your approval before additional charges.
You represent that you have the legal right and all necessary permissions to submit each file and request its processing. You grant MessyFile and its service providers a limited license to store, transmit, and process the file only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and support the service. Do not submit unlawful material, malware, content that infringes another person's rights, or files whose processing would violate confidentiality or privacy obligations. MessyFile does not circumvent passwords or access controls without verified authorization.
Document formats, scans, OCR, and structured extraction can misread or omit content. MessyFile does not promise pixel-identical reproduction, perfect OCR, perfect field recognition, or preservation of every advanced feature. You are responsible for reviewing delivered files and independently verifying figures or other consequential information before use.
The amount and scope shown at checkout or in a written quote govern the order. If MessyFile cannot produce an in-scope deliverable for a prepaid job, MessyFile may reprocess the file, propose an adjusted scope, or provide an appropriate refund. Payment processing is provided by Stripe or another identified payment provider under that provider's terms. Nothing here limits any non-waivable consumer rights.
Files are retained and deleted as described in the Privacy Notice. No online service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability. Keep your original source files and download completed results before the stated expiration. Contact support@messyfile.com promptly if an order, payment, or delivery appears incorrect.
MessyFile provides document processing, not legal, medical, tax, accounting, or financial advice. You remain responsible for the substance, filing, decisions, and use of completed files.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without implied warranties not expressly stated here. MessyFile is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or decisions made from an unverified output. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MessyFile's total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid MessyFile for the order giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised effective date. Material changes apply to orders placed after the updated terms take effect. Questions may be sent to support@messyfile.com.
